On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Supply Chain & Quality Specialist on an initial 8‑month contract. As the Supply Chain & Quality Specialist, you will need to be autonomous in supporting the UK Supply Chain Systems & Equipment organization to continuously improve supply chain management ways of working and develop supplier capability and maturity.

Role: Supply Chain & Quality Specialist

Pay: 40 per hour via Umbrella

Location: Filton – 60% onsite

Contract: Monday‑Friday, 35 hours per week, 8 months contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy APQP across major modifications to ensure industrial maturity
  • Coach and upskill the Supply Chain Quality Managers community
  • Continuous improvement and development of suppliers
  • Delivery and quality support for supplier operations
  • Help the SCQM community implement robust continuous improvement plans through Supplier Business Improvement Plan methodologies
  • Act as focal point for Supplier APQP self‑assessments and linked projects in Supplier Business Improvement Plan Methodologies
  • Facilitate quality tools, techniques, and methodologies for supplier development
  • Support SCQM facing complex quality supply chain issues impacting the company's industrial flow
  • Standardise quality tool ways of working across Systems & Equipment scope
  • Support corporate assessments designed to assess the industrial maturity of suppliers such as IPCA's, CCP's and concession processes
Essential Skills
  • Understanding of change request industrial implementation supply chain & quality background
  • Knowledge of PPS (Practical Problem Solving) methodologies such as 8D, 9S, Ishikawa, 5

    Why, etc.
  • Strong APQP experience
  • Experience of transfers of work
  • Autonomous and proactive approach
  • Willingness to get involved and drive change within the organisation
  • Ability to work on own initiative
