Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
HGV Supervisor – Day Shift
We are looking for Supervisors to lead the team of HGV Tanker Drivers who work across the Sussex region. You will be responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently in line with the Waste Contract and that various non‑hazardous liquids are transported from sites to disposal facilities across the regions.

Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off
Salary: Depending on experience, including overtime if available and an on‑call bonus
Location: Goddards Green (Sussex)
Responsibilities (not limited to)- Ensure all engineers are compliant with PPE & company policy standards
- Support engineers on the field
- Manage competencies of engineers
- Conduct audits
- Provide training for engineers
- Manage sites and keep clients up-to-date
- Health & safety onsite
- Basic vehicle maintenance & stock
- Issue work instructions to engineers
- Problem‑solving
- Set up and stand down sites, including housekeeping
- Plan breaks for 12‑hour and 24‑hour drivers
- Take deliveries and off‑hire equipment
- Carry out reasonable ad hoc requests from LMC managers or the senior leadership team
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them

About YouThe ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and complies with health and safety standards. Experience with high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
You must have a minimum of an HGV Class 2 licence, completed the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), and an up‑to‑date digita tachograph card.
