Building Controls Technician

Salary £33,045 - £38,026 per annum

Full time, permanent contract

About the Role

As a Building Controls Technician you will be part of the in‑house Estates team that supports and enables the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the university estate.

The role is varied and diverse, with day‑to‑day duties ranging from ensuring that our estate is safe and operational, through to supporting the delivery of key University events such as open days, graduation ceremonies and clearing.

Typical duties will include:

  • Ensuring the operation of the university’s smart building control and management systems are efficient, compliant and align with the needs of the building users.
  • Undertake fault finding and rectification works with respect to the University’s building control and management systems and automated metering systems.
  • Undertake new installations and modifications to existing building control, management systems and automated metering systems.
  • Ensure energy and water data is accurately recorded and managed.
