Job Summary

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Cleaners to join our Nottingham team. These roles are zero‑hour fixed term positions until September 2026 with an hourly rate of £12.97.

• Vacuum, spot‑clean and shampoo carpets.
• Sweep, polish floors and clean stairs.
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate.
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin‑store areas.
• During the summer season only:
  • Make beds, including stripping and changing sheets.
  • Collect laundered linen from store, bag and pack for collection.
  • Clean internal and external windows where applicable.
  • Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils where appropriate.
  • Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff.
• Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.

• Experience of cleaning in a similar environment.
• Strong communication and organisation skills, with attention to detail.
• Good conversational standard of English and ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
• Prepared to work at other sites if required and additional hours during main student arrival and departure weekends.
