Part-Time Cleaner

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our Nottingham team. This is a permanent part‑time position working 20 hours per week from 5am to 9am Monday to Friday.

The salary is £13,542.99 per annum.

This role will be responsible for cleaning the designated areas for our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens. These tasks include:

• Vacuum, spot‑clean and shampoo carpets
• Sweep and polish floors and clean stairs
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators and lampshades as appropriate
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas

During the summer season only:

• Make beds, including stripping and changing sheeting, collection of laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collection
• Clean internal and external windows, where applicable
• Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils, as appropriate

Daily liaison with the residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff. Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.

You have prior experience of cleaning in a similar environment.

Strong communication and organisational skills, with an attention to detail.

Good conversational standard of English and ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.

Willingness to work at other sites (with notice) and to provide additional hours when necessary.

Willful passing satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks, including a basic DBS.
