Main purpose of role- To perform the role of the Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery
- To ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of an effective cost management service
Senior Cost Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically within the £10m to £50m range depending on project complexity.
Key accountabilitiesCommission Management
- Coaching junior staff, including allocating roles and responsibilities to ensure effective cost management on all projects
- Advising clients on feasibility studies and procurement options
- Managing estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting the final cost plan to the client
- Tendering and procuring activities, including managing pre-qualification, tender lists, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender reports and contractual documents, utilising relevant tools and platforms
- Contract administration, including handling post-contract cost variances and change control processes
