Overview
We're recruiting a Head of Sales & Marketing to join a well-established and growing specialist contractor operating within the roofing sector. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering senior-level responsibility, direct reporting to Directors, and the chance to shape and drive commercial strategy during an exciting period of expansion. If you're a commercially astute leader with strong construction knowledge, proven budget management experience, and the ability to inspire and coordinate technical sales teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with company growth objectives
- Drive brand awareness and market positioning within the construction and roofing sectors
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate Technical Sales Managers, Technical Sales Support, and Marketing professionals
- Set clear performance objectives and ensure team alignment with revenue targets
- Strategically plan, manage, and oversee the Sales & Marketing budget
- Ensure commercial expenditure aligns with wider business strategy and delivers measurable return on investment
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments to inform strategy
- Support business development initiatives and strengthen key client relationships
- Provide regular performance reporting and strategic insight directly to the Directors
- Strong senior‑level sales management experience within the construction sector, ideally with exposure to roofing or associated building envelope disciplines
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification and/or a Marketing degree
- Proven experience in a senior sales management position
- Strong construction industry knowledge and commercial awareness
- Demonstrable experience managing and controlling budgets at a strategic level
- Experience leading and developing high‑performing commercial teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into measurable action
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required
