This role is based in London, SW1, Pall Mall. The Commonwealth Secretariat offers a competitive base pay range; your actual remuneration will be based on your skills and experience – discuss with your recruiter for details.
Base pay rangeBrought by The Commonwealth, the pay for this position will align with the Secretariat’s internal salary scales.
Responsibilities- Design, deliver, and monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and controls ensuring compliance with internal and external rules.
- Monitor mandatory training requirements and co‑ordinate policy compliance across the organisation.
- Produce compliance reports and support the Director of Corporate Compliance in implementing strategies related to risk, compliance, and audit.
- Provide administrative support to the Audit and Risk Committee.
- Advising senior management on policy adherence and risk management.
- Identify training needs and contribute to governance support for senior management and committees.
- University Degree or equivalent in any discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in general management or senior administrative roles within an international or governmental organisation.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, advising on, and implementing organisational policies.
- Working knowledge of risk registers and embedding enterprise risk management.
- Experience with internal auditing, reporting procedures, and supporting senior management and committees.
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in management or a professional role is desirable.
