Location: Nottingham / Birmingham (mix of site and office-based working)
Salary: 65,000 - 75,000

• Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cost-effective and efficient designs.
• Manage the project design budget and timeline.
• Work closely with the client team, liaising across multiple projects.
• Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure all agreed actions are delivered and any issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
• Lead design team meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on project progress.
• Ensure all projects adhere to company standards and industry regulations.
• Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the design and construction process.

• Proven experience as a Design Manager for a main contractor.
• Experience with in the construction industry, specifically across design and build, new build, and refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations.
• Experience managing document control systems.

• Comfortable working closely with client teams across multiple projects.

• Ability to coordinate stakeholders effectively to achieve project objectives.
• Experience implementing and maintaining quality control procedures throughout the design and construction lifecycle.

• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make informed design and business decisions.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and design management skills.
• Client-focused, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
