Current Position

We’re partnering with a top-tier consultancy to appoint a Project Controls Manager who will sit at the heart of London’s most ambitious, future-defining infrastructure programmes. If you thrive in complexity, bring clarity to chaos, and enjoy shaping decisions that ripple across entire city systems, this is your stage.

This role goes far beyond reporting and analysis — you’ll be the voice of insight, the guardian of performance, and the force that keeps delivery teams aligned, accountable, and moving forward.

As Project Controls Manager, you’ll power the intelligence behind major programme success. You’ll lead an integrated controls team and ensure leaders have the visibility, foresight, and confidence to deliver at pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost, schedule, risk, and reporting functions across complex programmes.
  • Transform raw performance metrics into strategic, actionable insight.
  • Coach junior team members and develop future project controls leaders.
  • Spot risks early and steer delivery teams toward positive, measurable outcomes.
  • Establish trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, contractors, and partners.
What You Bring
  • Proven leadership in project controls within major infrastructure or capital delivery programmes.
  • Strong command of Primavera P6, EVM, cost management systems, and performance reporting.
  • Experience working within NEC frameworks and navigating complex governance.
  • A collaborative, relationship-driven style – able to influence, advise, and inspire confidence.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences.
What Makes This Role Stand Out
  • Work on iconic, city‑shaping infrastructure that leaves a lasting legacy.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
  • Hybrid working built on trust, flexibility, and autonomy.
  • Clear development pathways to senior leadership roles.
  • Competitive £70k–£80k salary + excellent benefits + continuous professional development.
