Utility Surveying Manager

Nottingham - Office Based

This company specialise in providing high-quality surveys for clients across a range of sectors. Established since 2014, they have grown to around 30 employees and are now looking to further expand their utilities division, offering an excellent opportunity for the right individual to lead and develop a team of Utility Surveyors.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the utilities department, overseeing projects from initial quotation through to final delivery and sign-off. You will prepare job packs, allocate work, liaise with clients, manage quality control processes, and support the continued growth of the utility surveying team. The role is primarily office-based in Nottingham, with projects generally located within 1.5 hours of the office, ensuring very little time away from home.

The Role

  • Manage and lead a team of 8 within the utilities department
  • Quote projects, prepare job packs, and allocate workloads
  • Oversee project delivery, quality control, and sign off completed survey drawings
  • Liaise with clients from initial enquiry through to project completion
  • Primarily office-based role in Nottingham

The Person

  • Experienced Utility Surveyor, Senior Utility Surveyor, or Team Lead
  • Strong background in utility surveying and PAS 128 projects
  • Experience managing people, projects, and client relationships
  • Looking to progress into a department management position
  • Commutable to Nottingham
