Clean Slate Criminal Justice Substance Use Services Main Job Purpose To manage a diverse multi-disciplinary service and provide strong clinical and professional leadership in order to ensure robust clinical governance and defensibility, in line with national substance misuse guidance and best practice. To ensure judicial responsibility is clearly mapped out and define within the service delivery of Criminal Justice treatment pathway and in the management of statutory and non-statutory treatment requirements/sentences/licence/civil tools This post will coordinate the on-going development of the service and will identify and implement continuous service improvements to ensure that outcomes are in line with service targets, that service users needs are being met and that the service is delivered to budget.

Job Duties and Responsibilities . Line Management:
Develop and lead high performing teams across the partnership, including resource management, recruitment, performance, management, and development of key team member. Contract Management:
Utilising a broad strategic overview to ensure all elements of service contract, including KPIs and finance are met and reported to commissioners. Service pathways:
Engaging with external key stakeholders to ensure all pathways into and out of the service are mutually agreed and perform as expected. Multi-disciplinary working:
Lead the case management of service users, including report writing, representation, and liaison with internal and external case management forums: e.g. MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements), MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) or Safeguarding etc. Compliance:
Ensure the whole service remains fully compliant with external regulars e.g.:
Care Quality Commission, Public Health England, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence & also the Ministry of Justice and the National Probation Service etc. Clinical Governance:
Actively promote accountable care and ensure sound practices are in place to appropriately manage risk. Participate in the setting of professional standards, taking an active lead in audits and implementation. Service improvements: contribute to clinical improvements through organisational activities to improve service delivery. Actively seek national and local evidence through policy, research and audits to implement evidence-based practice. Support the Assistant Director regarding day to day operational understanding of the CJ pathway in relation to Clean Slate.

To have management responsibility operational delivery of the criminal justice treatment pathway. To work with key stakeholders within the Criminal Justice System on partnership working and delivery model in accordance with Local and National guidelines GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Promote a no blame and can do culture. THE ROLE The role requires an experienced clinician/therapist who is recognised as an expert within this specialist field. They will carry a small caseload and provide management and clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary workforce. The individual will have excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate and influence senior clinical staff develop and disseminate a high level of performance and quality of care.

The role requires an understanding of the current political climate specific to substance misuse. The post holder will have a high degree of autonomy over the delivery of services, utilisation of resources and development of stakeholder pathways The post is responsible for ensuring all elements of the service are fully compliant with all local and national guidelines, policies and procedures.

Oversee operational development of the core service criminal justice pathway. Oversee and develop services in line with local and national clinical and best practice guidelines. To ensure that the judicial responsibility is clearly define in the management of criminal justice in relation to Clean Slate CJ Services. To help in the design of new sentencing proposals.
