We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Estates & Maintenance to lead estates operations across a large and complex multi-site college estate.
Reporting to the Director of Estates and Capital Development, you will provide leadership to Estates and Maintenance teams, driving improvements in service delivery, performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage the College-wide Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contract, and ensure estates services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with statutory requirements.
Key Requirements- Significant experience leading estates, maintenance, or hard facilities management services.
- Strong track record of improving operational performance and service delivery.
- Experience managing large-scale PPM contracts, contractors, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, procurement, and contract management.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
- Ability to drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service.
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- MCIOB
- RICS
- RIBA
- IWFM
- NEEBOSH
- Enhanced DBS is required or willing to obtain
