Home Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Nottingham, NG14
Home:
Brand New 3-bed EBD Home
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum

What the Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management for Children and Young People, or currently enrolled
  • Previous experience managing a children's home, or a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a children's residential setting
  • Experience working with children and young people with EBD
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care
  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • An enthusiastic and positive approach
  • Unwavering determination and a genuine passion for making a difference
  • The ability to motivate and develop a team
  • A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
Key

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home
  • Helping to establish and develop the brand-new 3-bed EBD home
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people
  • Leading, managing and developing the residential care team
  • Ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained
  • Ensuring the home operates in line with relevant legislation, regulations and safeguarding requirements
  • Promoting positive outcomes and supporting the development and wellbeing of the young people
  • Developing positive relationships with children, families, professionals and external agencies
  • Managing staff supervision, training, development and performance
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
  • Preparing and maintaining the home to meet Ofsted standards
  • Monitoring the quality of care and implementing improvements where required
  • Building a positive culture within the home and supporting the team to deliver excellent care
  • Working closely with senior management to support the continued development and success of the organisation
