Home Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Nottingham, NG14
Home:
Brand New 3-bed EBD Home
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum

- Level 5 Leadership and Management for Children and Young People, or currently enrolled
- Previous experience managing a children's home, or a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a children's residential setting
- Experience working with children and young people with EBD
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- An enthusiastic and positive approach
- Unwavering determination and a genuine passion for making a difference
- The ability to motivate and develop a team
- A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
Roles & Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home
- Helping to establish and develop the brand-new 3-bed EBD home
- Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people
- Leading, managing and developing the residential care team
- Ensuring high standards of care are consistently maintained
- Ensuring the home operates in line with relevant legislation, regulations and safeguarding requirements
- Promoting positive outcomes and supporting the development and wellbeing of the young people
- Developing positive relationships with children, families, professionals and external agencies
- Managing staff supervision, training, development and performance
- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
- Preparing and maintaining the home to meet Ofsted standards
- Monitoring the quality of care and implementing improvements where required
- Building a positive culture within the home and supporting the team to deliver excellent care
- Working closely with senior management to support the continued development and success of the organisation
