£600-£700 per day, Inside IR35 - DOE

I'm currently working with a Local Authority in the North West looking to bring in an experienced Head of Capital Projects / Capital Projects Manager to support the delivery of its capital programme.

This role would suit someone with a strong background managing complex capital projects within a Local Authority or wider public-sector environment, who is comfortable overseeing projects from initial feasibility and business case through procurement, construction and handover.

• * Leading the delivery of a portfolio of capital projects across the Council's estate
• * Managing projects from feasibility and design through to procurement, construction and completion
• * Overseeing project budgets, forecasting, risks and programme performance
• * Managing external consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• * Providing strong commercial and contract management throughout the project lifecycle
• * Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
• * Ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety, CDM, Building Regulations and procurement requirements
• * Preparing reports and programme updates for senior stakeholders
• * Managing competing priorities across a varied capital programme
• * Supporting future capital investment planning and programme development
• * Providing leadership and direction to internal project teams where required

This could suit an experienced Capital Projects Manager, Senior Project Manager or Head of Capital Projects looking for their next interim Local Authority assignment.
