Assistant Practice Manager

Assistant Practice Manager at Kimbolton Medical Centre, a GP surgery serving about 7,300 patients in a rural community. The post supports the Practice Manager and GP partners in running the surgery day to day, across administration, governance and patient experience. Its distinct focus is facilities: leading premises management, inspections and contractors, with major expenditure and high-risk matters kept under the Practice Manager's oversight.

Applicants should bring GP practice management experience or significant transferable healthcare or operational management experience.

• Lead day-to-day facilities management
• Conduct premises inspections and coordinate maintenance and contractors
• Maintain compliance records, servicing schedules and the facilities compliance tracker
• Support governance, health and safety and CQC compliance
• Support day-to-day operational management, including IT
• Supervise and support staff
• Oversee HR administration
• Monitor finance and KPIs
• Oversee patient experience, including complaints, PPG, website and social media
• Manage information governance, including ROPA, IAR and data storage
• Deputise for the Practice Manager
• Work within practice policies on confidentiality, health and safety, infection control, equality and audit

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above

• Previous GP practice management experience, or significant transferable healthcare or operational management experience

• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong interest in facilities and operational management

• Experience of working in primary care (GP practice)
• Experience of working at management level
• Sys1 experience
