Working within a small, supportive shift team you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of machinery and equipment across a busy site. You’ll take ownership of both reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks while helping to drive proactive engineering and continuous improvement.

Hours:

Monday to Friday | 3 shift weekly rotation 6am‑2pm, 2pm‑10pm, 10pm‑6am
Salary: £53,482pa

Responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis to minimise downtime
• Ensure all machinery operates safely and complies with health & safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and facility upgrades

Requirements:

• Maintenance Apprenticeship (minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical and electrical competencies: hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, PLC fault finding
• Experience using computerised maintenance management systems

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Electrician:

• Carry out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery and production equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machines, control panels, motors, sensors, PLCs and other automation systems
• Support with plant improvements to enhance performance
• Installation, commissioning and integration of new machinery and equipment

Requirements of a Maintenance Electrician:

• Hold a recognised qualification in engineering/electrical
• 17th / 18th edition wiring regulations required
• Must have hydraulic and pneumatic experience as well as fault finding on PLCs
• Understanding of food industry hygiene and safety standards (desirable)

This role is commutable from Heanor, Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Loughborough.
