Engineering Fitter Apprentice

Work:

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work:

• Wire gear plate components based on schematic diagrams or point‑to‑point wiring lists.
• Layout and wire functional units, interlink panels, and door components as part of the manufacturing process.
• Manufacture and install both standard and custom copper busbar systems following mechanical design drawings, including tasks such as cropping, bending, hydraulic punching, and fitting large electrical components.
• Learn and adhere to company procedures related to quality systems to ensure high standards.
• Comply with company policies regarding health and safety, including The Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of the job as required.
