This role sits within our Distributed Generation Systems (DGS) team, delivering power generation and electrical systems for the UK’s armed forces.

As a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter, you’ll play a key part in delivering essential maintenance and repair services across our diesel-powered generation systems. ** What You Will Be Doing
** With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
* Disassemble, inspect, clean, test and reassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies to strict standards
* Work with diesel power generation and electrical distribution systems in support of military contracts
* Collaborate with team leads to ensure quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met
* Maintain high standards of safety, documentation, and shop floor efficiency

To be successful in this role you will need to:
* Have completed a recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
* Bring experience working on diesel engines or electrical systems in a service or MRO environment
* Be comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit, goal-focused team
* Show good communication and documentation skills in a regulated environment
* Demonstrate a hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail

To work for the Rolls‑Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.  Rolls‑Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.  Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
