An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of JRL Group's key divisions;
Trent Precast Concrete Ltd.

The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our Precast team.

Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham.

Laser Operator needed (Aluminum) for a fabrication factory based in Nottingham.

We offer a complete cladding and substructure fabrication solution for the group projects, from initial preliminary design to practical site completion, utilizing many materials including Aluminum, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel for various Rain Screen systems, complex feature fascia’s, soffits and copings, as well as substructure bracketry.

Hours: 06:00am - 16:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Interview process to be held before starting. You must have the right to work in the UK, having your own transport is ideal due to the remote location.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate laser cutting machines to cut and shape materials according to specifications
  • Set up and adjust machine settings for optimal performance
  • Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality output
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
  • Experience using hand tools and assembling components
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of tooling and machining processes
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials
