WorkAs an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work- Learn practical skills and techniques to produce different types of bespoke furniture including laminated cabinets, furniture and other items
- Learn how to operate machines, tools and equipment including wood machines
- Become a skilled trades person understanding and following industry standards and safety procedures

TrainingAn apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan- During your Furniture Manufacturing Level 2 apprenticeship programme you will receive training both off and on the job
- You will be required to train on a weekly basis here at Webs Training Beeston Nottingham
- You will learn the underpinning knowledge that runs alongside your practical elements of the training
- You will use a wide range of techniques whilst you complete a practical project
- Training will be provided in all areas of manufacturing to ensure you can create practical and bespoke products
- If you have already achieved GCSE maths and English at Grade C/4 or above or have equivalent qualification you will be exempt from undertaking Functional Skills, however English and maths support will be provided for all apprentices throughout the length of their programme
