Production Engineer

We are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to support production operations, drive process improvements, and help optimise manufacturing performance across the site.

The successful candidate will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Support day-to-day production engineering activities across the manufacturing facility
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
• Analyse production data and performance to identify areas for improvement
• Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Support new product introduction and manufacturing process development
• Create and maintain production documentation, work instructions, and process procedures
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
• Support health and safety and ensure compliance with company procedures
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to support production requirements

• Previous experience in a Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes
• Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing techniques
• Ability to analyse production performance and identify process improvements
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline preferred

• Salary between £42,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
