Manual Machinist Contek Recruitment Solutions are representing a well-established precision engineering business based in the Jacksdale area. Operating for over 75 years, our client specialises in large-scale manual milling and has recently expanded their capabilities to include CNC milling alongside their established manual machining services. Serving a diverse customer base across multiple industries, the company prides itself on delivering high-quality, precision-engineered components and solutions.

Due to a continued influx of long-standing contracts and sustained business growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist to join their skilled engineering team. The Successful Machinist Package £28,000 to £32,000 per annum (OTE up to £51,500 per annum) Permanent day shift:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am 3:30pm Friday: 7:00am 2:30pm Overtime available (paid at 1.5x rate, up to 11 hours per week) 33 days holiday (including bank holidays and one fixed week) Monthly and annual bonus schemes Holiday Enhancement Pay (HEP) Competitive salary sacrifice pension scheme Pension advice and support Death in service insurance Annual health screening On-site parking Cycle to Work scheme Full PPE provided, including safety footwear, gloves, eye protection (including prescription safety glasses), hearing protection and more All tooling and precision measuring equipment supplied Overalls provided and professionally laundered Refreshments provided throughout the working day Additional employee perks and social events The Successful Machinist Requirements Previous experience operating 3-axis manual milling machines Experience machining large components would be advantageous Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Competent in milling, drilling, boring and tapping operations Ability to inspect own work using a range of measuring equipment including: DTI gauges Verniers Micrometers Slip gauges Depth gauges Overhead crane experience would be advantageous Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work If you are an experienced Manual Machinist looking to join a stable and growing engineering business with excellent earning potential, we would like to hear from you.
