Bespoke Precast Operative

Privately owned Trent Precast Concrete Ltd is part of the JRL Group, a collection of over eight construction companies. The company specialises in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete and glass‑reinforced concrete (GRC) units, based in Nottingham.

• Experience with in a GRC facility / architectural precast manufacturing facility essential.
• Experienced with the technical ability to set up precast units and work to processes.
• Ability to read manufacture drawings.
• Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.

• Reporting to the Operative Supervisor.
• Safe and accurate production of lattice planks, balcony units and wall panels.
• Preparing moulds.
• Installing shutters and formwork.
• Positioning lattice girders, reinforced steel, cast-in fixings, conduits, sockets and other inserts.
• Checking dimensions, and carrying out visual inspections.
• Working to drawings handed out and setting up precast units in accordance with the drawn specifications and tolerances.
• Achieving daily targets and working to tight deadlines.
• Ensuring all work is up to a high standard and meets process requirements.
• Adapting and recycling knowledge to work efficiently.
• Having the ability to learn new processes.
