Location:

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our manufacturing team, producing high-precision components in a modern engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality machining, enjoys solving problems and wants to develop their technical skills within a supportive and forward-thinking business. You will be responsible for setting, operating and improving CNC turning processes, working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications to produce components to exacting standards.

The Role:

Setting up and operating CNC turning machines Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances Using CAD files and software to support programme development and adjustments Carrying out machining operations including turning, grinding, milling and finishing processes Selecting and setting appropriate tooling to achieve accurate results Performing routine machine checks, maintenance and inspections Using hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure components meet required standards Supporting assembly activities and working with metal and plastic components Troubleshooting machining and mechanical issues using practical engineering knowledge Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience operating and setting CNC turning machines The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience working with CAD software (Solid Works would be advantageous) Knowledge of machining processes, tooling and measurement techniques

Experience with grinding, milling or welding would be beneficial Strong mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider engineering team
