SMT Operator

Job Summary

SMT Operator – responsible for assembling electronic products, performing quality checks, and following technical instructions to meet high manufacturing standards.

• Set up and operate SMT production machinery according to production schedules and work instructions.
• Read and interpret production documentation to configure machines correctly for each job.
• Monitor production runs, maintain a consistent flow of boards, and minimise waste and machine downtime.
• Carry out in‑process and routine quality inspections; report defects or issues to the Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Accurately record production data, efficiency figures, and completed jobs using the BaaN ERP system.
• Clean and maintain the production line and equipment after each run.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures while working collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily manufacturing targets.

• Experience setting up and operating SMT production machinery.
• Strong understanding of production documentation and machine configuration.
• Capability to monitor and optimise production runs, maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (BaaN preferred) for recording production data.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and teamwork.
