Overview

Responsibilities
  • Analyse production performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity and process capability.
  • Lead root cause investigations into manufacturing, safety and quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Manage capital expenditure projects from quotation through to installation, validation and production implementation.
  • Support the introduction of new products (NPI), equipment and manufacturing processes into production.
  • Identify and deliver automation opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the value stream.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process instructions and engineering standards.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to deliver operational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential: Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline.
  • Essential: Previous experience within a precision engineering business.
  • Experience with in a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or Continuous Improvement Engineer position.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using structured problem‑solving techniques including DMAIC, PFMEA and Process Mapping.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes within a precision engineering or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Advantageous: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Practitioner certification.
