CNC Laser Cutting Operator

Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled

Laser

Cutting Operator to join a well-established companyin the Nottingham area, who are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery including

BystronicandBLMsystems.

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | 6am-2pm | 40 hours

Salary: £16-£17 per hour

Their cutting‑edge setup includes:

Flat Laser Cutting – 4 Flatbed Lasers (including a 6m laser with Antil Warehouse System)

Tube Laser Cutting – 2 tube lasers (cutting up to 152mm diameter)

Complete all required paperwork accurately, including job cards and drawing checks

Select and inspect materials according to job specifications and quality standards

Handle materials with care to prevent damage

Label all materials and job cards with correct GIN numbers

Verify quantities and load cut parts accurately onto trolleys or pallets

Carry out final inspections and stamp job cards to confirm quality

Follow the “1st off” process, including stamping length, width, and thickness

High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality

Able to follow procedures accurately and consistently

Strong communication skills and a team‑focused attitude

Physically fit and able to handle materials safely

Knowledge of Lean / 5S principles is an advantage
