Pay: £38,532 per annum / £19 per hour

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, quality driven environment where you will be involved in producing high precision components for a variety of industries.

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines
• Create, edit and optimize CNC programmes to improve machining efficiency
• Manufacture one off and batch components from engineering drawings
• Select the correct tooling, fixtures and work holding for each job
• Carry out tool changes and make machine offsets where required
• Inspect finished components ysing a range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gauges
• Complete first off inspections and ensure components meet quality standards
• Identify process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase productivity
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focus approach
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and machine controls such as Haas, Hurco, Mazak, Fanuc or Matsuura would be highly advantegous, as would an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
