We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller
to join our clients prestige growing team in Nottingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist to work within a modern precision engineering environment, manufacturing high-quality components for a diverse range of industries.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme, set and operate CNC milling machines
Create, edit and optimise CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software and machine controls
Manufacture first-off, one-off and batch components to engineering drawings
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and work holding solutions
Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine set-ups
Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges
Identify and implement programme improvements to reduce cycle times and improve productivity
Maintain programme documentation and machine records
Work closely with the production team to ensure quality and delivery targets are achieved
Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
Proven experience as a CNC Miller
Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong understanding of precision machining techniques and tolerances
Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment
Excellent attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CAD/CAM programming experience
Experience with
Haas
, Matsuura
, Hurco
, Mazak or Fanuc controls
Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
Experience with in a precision engineering or subcontract machining environment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
