Salary:£14 - 17 ph. £21 per night on night shift.
An established precision engineering and sheet metal manufacturing company in Nottingham is looking for experienced TIG Welders to join its growing production team.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a choice of day or night shifts. The successful candidates will produce high-quality fabricated components while working from detailed engineering drawings and customer specifications. If you have aluminium welding skills this would also be beneficial.
Key ResponsibilitiesTIG weld a variety of precision sheet metal components.
Work predominantly with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
Prepare materials and components before welding.
Produce clean, accurate welds to a consistently high standard.
Inspect completed work and identify any defects or quality issues.
Use fabrication equipment, hand tools and measuring instruments safely.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Work closely with fabrication, production and quality teams.
Previous experience working as a TIG Welder or TIG Welder Fabricator.
Strong experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal.
Confident working with stainless steel and aluminium.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Able to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
Experience with in a precision engineering, laser cutting or sheet metal environment would be advantageous.
