Are you an experienced Workshop Machinist with strong CNC and manual machining skills? We are seeking a detail-oriented machinist to join a busy workshop team, manufacturing high-quality precision components to customer specifications and technical drawings. The Role As a Workshop Machinist, you will be responsible for producing precision-machined components using both CNC and manual machinery. You will work from engineering drawings, set up machines, select tooling, carry out quality checks, and ensure products are delivered to specification and within agreed lead times.
Key Responsibilities Manufacture components using CNC and manual machining equipment. Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings. Set up CNC machinery, select tooling, and safely run machining programmes. Perform machining operations efficiently to meet production deadlines. Conduct quality inspections and ensure all finished products meet specification. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment. Support stock-taking activities when required. Follow company procedures and health & safety standards at all times.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop. About You We are looking for someone who can confidently work both independently and as part of a team. You will have a strong machining background and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Essential Skills & Experience Proven CNC machining experience, including setup, tooling, offsets, and operation. Experience operating manual machining equipment.
Ability to accurately read and work from technical drawings. Understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines. Positive attitude with a commitment to safety and quality. What's on Offer?
