The Brand Muse is a strategic branding, web design and marketing studio working with design-led, interiors and lifestyle brands in the UK and US.
We’re hiring a Marketing Account Manager to take ownership of our ongoing marketing retainers and client relationships, someone confident managing accounts end-to-end, leading client communication, overseeing delivery, analysing performance and helping accounts grow over time.
This is not a social media manager role. It’s a hands‑on, strategic account management role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy and long‑term client partnerships.
ABOUTTHE ROLE
You’ll sit at the centre of client delivery for marketing retainers, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring work is delivered thoughtfully, on time and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with our internal team and freelancers, while taking genuine ownership of your accounts.
We’re a small, women‑led agency, which means we need someone self‑driven, calm under pressure, commercially aware and adaptable. There’s no hiding behind layers here; this role has real responsibility and trust from day one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client Relationship & Account Management- Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for marketing retainer clients
- Lead client marketing calls independently
- Present monthly and 6‑monthly reports with insight and recommendations
- Manage client expectations clearly and confidently
- Build long‑term, trusted relationships with retained clients
- Oversee delivery of ongoing marketing retainers
- Coordinate internally with Chloe, Ceri, Sam and external freelancers
- Ensure timelines, priorities and deliverables are clear and realistic
- Keep Notion boards and reporting accurate and up to date
- Flag risks or delays early and propose solutions
- Prepare monthly and 6‑monthly marketing reports (insight‑led, not vanity metrics)
- Analyse performance across channels and identify trends
- Recommend strategic adjustments based on data and client goals
- Balance narrative insight with performance dashboards depending on client maturity
- Track retainers against scope, hours and budget
- Identify upsell opportunities and proactively scope additional work
- Contribute to account growth through thoughtful recommendations, not hard selling
- Support Meta/Google Ads execution where relevant
- Oversee or implement basic Squarespace and Shopify SEO improvements (on‑page, blog optimisation, metadata)
- Work confidently across email platforms such as Flodesk and Klaviyo
- Content creation supports strategy, it is not the focus of this role
- Occasional support with content planning, light editing or coordination
- We are not hiring a social media manager; this sits separately in our long‑term growth plan
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a marketing, account management, agency or client‑side role
- Confident leading client communication and presenting insights
- Strong organisational and project‑management skills
- Commercially minded with a clear understanding of retainers and scope
- Calm, professional and solution‑focused
- Comfortable working independently in a small team
- Clear written and verbal communicator
- Experience with Meta or Google Ads
- SEO knowledge
- Interiors, lifestyle or premium brand experience
- Familiarity with Notion, Flodesk, Shopify or Squarespace

) - Hybrid otherwise for the right person
- Q1 start date (flexible for the right candidate)
