Head of Marketing Salary: £65-80k

9am to 5pm An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead a growing commercial businesses marketing department, with full ownership of digital merchandising strategy across all online categories and product ranges. This role will be responsible for team leadership, trading performance, content accuracy and commercial optimisation, with a strong focus on driving sales and improving the online customer journey.
You Will Do
- Own the digital merchandising strategy, setting the direction for product presentation, categorisation and online trading across all categories and product ranges
- Lead, manage and develop the Marketing Executives, providing direction and ensuring the team delivers against commercial priorities
- Oversee content optimisation, ensuring images, descriptions, pricing and product categorisation are accurate and effectively presented
- Drive sales growth through product placement, cross-sell, upsell and promotional activity, using commercial opportunities to improve conversion
- Manage the trading calendar, coordinating product launches, campaigns and seasonal updates
- Monitor sales, traffic and conversion data to assess performance and guide commercial and merchandising decisions
- Coordinate wider marketing activity and improve processes, workflows and CMS accuracy to ensure campaigns support merchandising priorities and product updates are managed effectively
- An experienced marketing professional with the capability to lead and run a marketing department
- Strong experience across digital merchandising, online trading and product presentation
- Commercially focused, with a proven understanding of how product placement, promotions, cross-sell and upsell can support sales growth
- An experienced people manager with the ability to lead and develop Marketing Executives
- Data-driven and confident using sales, traffic and conversion data to inform decisions
- Highly organised, with experience managing trading calendars, product launches, campaigns and seasonal updates
- Strong attention to detail, particularly across content accuracy, product categorisation, CMS management and online merchandising
- Experience in B2B or E-Commerce
