Overview
Do you love working intergenerationally? We are looking for Weekend Warrior Coordinators. Working with 14 – 18 year olds to give them confidence around older adults and enable them to facilitate activities by encouragement. Setting out activity equipment such as arts and crafts, cards, board games or music. Speak to the residents to establish what they would like the volunteers to do and plan for upcoming sessions.
Liaise with ADH staff during the week to feedback on the youngsters role.
- Work with 14 – 18 year olds to build confidence around older adults and help them facilitate activities.
- Set out activity equipment such as arts and crafts materials, cards, board games, or music.
- Talk with residents to determine activities they would like volunteers to run and plan upcoming sessions.
- liaise with ADH staff during the week to provide feedback on the volunteers’ role.
Information about the training and induction provided to volunteers will be supplied by Jewish Care as part of the onboarding process.
