This is an exciting opportunity to join St John and play a key role in helping to rebuild our youth programmes post-Covid. The role involves engaging with new and diverse communities, taking ownership of our strategy to increase membership to 20,000 young people, recruiting new adult volunteers, promoting SJA youth programmes, and building positive relationships with partners and local communities.

This is an initial 12-month FTC with the possibility to extend subject to funding.

  • Experience working with young people
  • Experience supporting volunteers and teams
  • Experience in community development and engaging diverse communities
  • Experience managing projects within a set geography and budget

About The Role:

  • Supporting local volunteer teams to develop and deliver project plans for growth
  • Facilitating forums and working groups to engage young people and volunteers
  • Developing partnerships within target areas to expand youth engagement
  • Promoting youth voice in decision-making
  • Recruiting new volunteers and young people through various activities
