Volunteer Community Connector
Location:
Various locations throughout Scotland.
- Represent the Stroke Association at local events, such as giving presentations, hosting stands, or attending fundraising events.
- Share personal experience of stroke to inspire and help others.
- Engage with community members to raise awareness of stroke and improve patient experience.
- Access to Learn, the Stroke Association LMS for e-learning and instructor‑led courses.
- Mandatory training: GDPR, basic health and safety, lone working and safeguarding.
- Additional optional training on stroke‑related topics.
- Full induction and ongoing training provided.
- Passionate about helping people learn more about stroke.
- Comfortable using technology such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Enjoy interacting with people and able to get out and about.
- Preferred: personal experience with stroke or caregiving experience.
Must be able to travel independently; travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Restrictions- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun.
- Morning, Afternoon, Evening.
Days and times to be agreed.
Additional InformationVolunteers aged 18–25 can claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
