Dungeons & Dragons Group VolunteerAs part of the CLaY:
Communities, Libraries and You project, we are recruiting volunteers to support Dungeons & Dragons gaming groups in libraries, with a focus on adult wellbeing. These groups aim to create welcoming, social spaces where adults can connect, learn, and enjoy playing together.
As a volunteer, you will support the setup and running of Dungeons & Dragons groups in Stoke‑on‑Trent Libraries. You will help:
- Welcome new members to the group
- Share your knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons
- Teach others how to play
- Encourage participants to take part, meet new people, and make new friends
- Promote awareness of the groups within local communities
- Resources, materials, and equipment for the groups
- Free tea and coffee during sessions
- Relevant induction and ongoing support
- Friendly, warm, and approachable
- Confident engaging with new people
- Patient, with good listening skills
- Comfortable sharing their knowledge and skills
- Able to use their own initiative and creativity
- Interested in supporting wellbeing through social gaming
