As part of the CLaY:
Communities, Libraries and You project, we are recruiting volunteers to support Dungeons & Dragons gaming groups in libraries, with a focus on adult wellbeing. These groups aim to create welcoming, social spaces where adults can connect, learn, and enjoy playing together.

As a volunteer, you will support the setup and running of Dungeons & Dragons groups in Stoke‑on‑Trent Libraries. You will help:

• Welcome new members to the group
• Share your knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons
• Teach others how to play
• Encourage participants to take part, meet new people, and make new friends
• Promote awareness of the groups within local communities

• Resources, materials, and equipment for the groups
• Free tea and coffee during sessions
• Relevant induction and ongoing support

• Friendly, warm, and approachable
• Confident engaging with new people
• Patient, with good listening skills
• Comfortable sharing their knowledge and skills
• Able to use their own initiative and creativity
• Interested in supporting wellbeing through social gaming
