Healthcare Assistant

About this role

Healthcare Assistant with recent Operating Theatre experience to join the busy Community Day Surgery Unit in Wimborne, Dorset.

• Prepare and assist trained staff within the Operating Theatre during the operating list.
• Assist in the admission and care of patients on the Day surgery ward pre‑ and post‑operatively.
• Support staff in the recovery area of the department.
• Undertake clinical work and related tasks delegated by qualified nursing staff, such as removal of intravenous cannula, phlebotomy and performing ECGs.
• Work as a key member of the team, supporting each patient during their stay with the Theatre and the Day Surgery Unit.

• Recent Operating Theatre experience.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check – the Trust covers the cost.
• No current Skilled Worker sponsorship required for employment in the UK.

Location:

Community Day Surgery Unit in Wimborne, Dorset. The successful candidate may be required to work at University Hospital Dorset.
