- Registered General Nurse with experience in a care home setting caring for older people.
- Valid UK NMC PIN (no restrictions).
- Ability to work on shift/rota patterns.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high‑stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of care and support for the residents.
- Experience in motivating the team.
- Clear DBS and two satisfactory references.
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long‑term service users.
- Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times in line with the NMC Code.
- Be competent and confident in managing people with long‑term health conditions.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate interventions for service users with complex needs.
- Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for service users as appropriate.
- Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
- Recognise and work within your own competence level.
- Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
- Support, manage and guide support workers on a daily basis.
- Engage in continual personal development.
- Dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining records.
- Carry out stock control and ordering of prescribed medication and medical products.
- Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as Health and Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standards Act.
