Practice Overview

My Client has a small, friendly small‑animal practice located in the heart of Redditch. The practice is RCVS Practice Standards Scheme registered and places strong value on team culture, offering a supportive, welcoming, and enjoyable working environment where every team member plays an important role.

The practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys a varied clinical role and is keen to contribute positively to a close‑knit and collaborative team. This is a permanent position offering between 30 and 37 hours per week, worked across three or four days, with a shared Saturday rota of one in four (9 am to 2 pm). There are no out‑of‑hours or bank holiday requirements, supporting a healthy work–life balance.

The salary is competitive, offering up to £60,000 FTE, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and established team consisting of four full‑time equivalent Veterinary Surgeons, six Registered Veterinary Nurses, four Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. The team works closely across all areas of the practice, creating a cohesive and positive working atmosphere.

• A balanced mix of consultations and surgical procedures, with occasional sole‑charge shifts.
• Supporting and mentoring veterinary students when they are on placement.
• Maintaining consistently high standards of clinical care.
• Managing cases with a high degree of clinical freedom while receiving guidance from the team.

• RCVS registered.
• Confident and experienced in general practice.
• Team‑focused and supportive approach.
• Comfortable balancing consultations, surgery, and occasional sole charge.
