Facilities

Based in a beautifully converted Georgian building, our Barnet Hospital offers historic character and modern equipment, including spacious reception, separate cat and dog waiting rooms, three consult rooms, three theatres, a large prep area, a fully equipped IDEXX lab, a dedicated dental suite with X‑ray, a digital X‑ray room, scan room, isolation ward, dog and cat wards, quiet office spaces and a well‑stocked staff area.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries, occasional chickens and wildlife.
  • Perform a range of surgical procedures, from routine operations to laparoscopic work, orthopaedics, thoracic surgery, BOAS, dentistry and ECC.
  • Utilise in‑house capabilities such as radiography, dental X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, electro‑ and radio‑surgery, stapling, orthopaedic kits, ventilators and advanced monitoring.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled RVN team and support a smooth workflow throughout the day.
Employment Details
  • Full‑time, 42 hours across four days with part‑time Saturdays (rotating schedule).
  • No out‑of‑hours or on‑call duty allows a healthy work‑life balance.
  • Potential for mentorship of newer graduates and support for certificate pursuits.
