Overview
Registered Veterinary Nurse – Hospital Role. A passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and highly respected nursing team within a busy veterinary hospital environment. The team delivers exceptional patient care while maintaining a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The role offers the chance to work in a well-equipped hospital with a varied and rewarding caseload spanning medical and surgical disciplines.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including theatre work, CT support, inpatient care, nurse consultations, laboratory duties, and general nursing, ensuring no two days are the same.
- Deliver high standards of patient care across medical and surgical cases in a busy hospital setting.
- Support theatre activities and CT imaging as part of the nursing team.
- Provide inpatient care, nurse consultations, and laboratory duties as required.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment with strong communication across shifts.
Full-time position (40-hour week) with a varied shift pattern. Weekend work is on a one-in-eight basis, covering Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 6pm, with support from both a Registered Veterinary Nurse and Nursing Assistant team. Time off in lieu is provided in the following week. There are no out-of-hours commitments due to support from a dedicated night team. Bank Holiday cover is voluntary.
Qualifications- Qualified RVN with a positive and collaborative approach.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced hospital setting and thrives on variety.
- Strong communication and clinical skills with a commitment to high standards of patient and client care.
- Salary: £27,943 to £35,672, dependent on experience.
- Six weeks of annual leave including Bank Holidays, flexible holiday purchase options.
