The University of Nottingham is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow on a fixed-term basis to contribute to an externally funded research project within a leading academic department. This role offers an opportunity to join a vibrant research environment at a globally recognized university, known for its commitment to high-impact research and innovation.

The successful candidate will undertake high-quality research aligned with the objectives of the project, working both independently and collaboratively with the principal investigator and wider research team. Responsibilities include designing and conducting research activities, collecting and analyzing data, and producing high-quality outputs such as peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, and conference presentations.

The role may also involve contributing to the development of new research proposals, supporting grant applications, and engaging in knowledge exchange or impact-related activities. The postholder will be expected to actively participate in the academic life of the department, including seminars, workshops, and collaborative initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline aligned with the research project.

Required Expertise/Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality academic research
  • Strong analytical and methodological skills relevant to the project area
  • Experience in publishing research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Ability to manage research tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team
  • Experience contributing to interdisciplinary research is desirable
Salary Details

Salary will be offered in line with the University of Nottingham’s Research Fellow salary scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
