OverviewYork Archaeology provides commercial archaeological services from offices at York, Sheffield and Nottingham, delivering excavation, survey, consultancy, conservation, research and public engagement.
ResponsibilitiesOperate from the Nottingham office to deliver a wide range of archaeological projects – including prehistoric, Roman and medieval sites, both rural and urban. Travel to sites across the UK will be required. Applicants will be expected to work locally within the region and farther afield; accommodation, transport and subsistence funds will be provided.
Essential Criteria- A degree in archaeology or related discipline and an appropriate level of demonstrable experience.
- Minimum 6 months experience within commercial fieldwork, successful completion of an existing training scheme, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- A full, UK driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential.
- A willingness to drive site vehicles, including welfare vans, would be extremely desirable.
- CIfA membership would be advantageous, but not essential.
- A First Aid at Work certificate would be advantageous, but not essential.
