School Chef

Based at Gotham Primary School, NG11 0JS
, you will be working 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 1:30pm, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious meals while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene and customer service.

• Preparing and serving nutritious meals in line with menu specifications
• Supporting the daily operation of the kitchen and maintaining service standards
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure an efficient catering service
• Following food safety, hygiene and Health and Safety requirements
• Assisting with stock control and helping to minimise waste
• Completing records in line with company procedures
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen

• Experience working within a catering environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A reliable team player with a positive attitude
• The ability to organise workloads and work efficiently under pressure
• A flexible approach to work
• A commitment to delivering excellent food and service standards

• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of food hygiene and Health and Safety practices
