Berkeley Scott is currently looking for reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our team and support schools across Nottingham.

As a Kitchen Assistant
, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with the preparation of meals and ingredients
- Helping with serving food to pupils and staff
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Following food safety and allergen procedures
- Supporting the wider catering team during busy service periods
- Ensuring food preparation areas are kept clean, organised and safe
- Providing a friendly and professional service within the school
Previous catering or kitchen experience is beneficial, but we are also happy to consider candidates with a positive attitude who are keen to learn.
Requirements- Enhanced DBS required
- 2 references required
- Food Safety Level 2 Certificate required or willingness to obtain
- Food Allergen Certificate required or willingness to obtain
- Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience is desirable
- Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive attitude and professional approach when working around children and school staff
