Sales Assistant (picking up management shifts on a Sunday)

This is a floating role based in our Bingham Shop (NG13 8AR
) with the potential of extra shifts in our East Nottingham shops

Hours:

Minimum of 16 hours per week (fixed term contract until at least January)

Salary:£12.71 per hour (£13.46 per hour when managing a shop) (depending on age, details below)

We are looking for someone to join us, initially on a fixed term contract until January (with the potential of this moving to a permanent role) who will cover in our East Nottingham shops so it is essential you are able to drive for this position. The purpose of a bakery sales assistant is to serve customers, sell bakery products and help keep the shop clean and organised, aswell as a friendly and welcoming environment.

Making sure customer service and quality is at the forefront of everything we do.

• Greetand serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Recommend bakery items such as bread, cakes, and pastries.
• Take customer orders and package products properly.
• Operate the till/cash register and handle payments.
• Restock shelves and displays to keep products available and attractive.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the shop and display areas.
• Answer customer questions about ingredients, prices, or products.
• Upsellproducts to customers for example offering hot drinks with food, or a nice little treat in upselling confectionaries goods.
• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold bakery and food-to-go / eat in products.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work a minimum on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays.

• Previous experience in food retail is preferred but not essential as we will giveyou all the training you need to be successful.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Apositive attitude and the ability to stay resilient in a busy environment.
• Experience handling cash or working with tills / Card machines (training will be provided).
• Flexibility to work shifts between Monday and Sunday.

Training will be provided for suitable applicants.

• 4weeks annual leave (Pro rata), increasing incrementally to 5 weeks after 5years of continuous service, plus bank holidays
