Position: Technical Estimator Small Works

Technical Estimator (Sales) Small Works
Global Fire and Security Systems – Nottingham (NG2) – Full Time

Job Purpose
  • Take full ownership of allocated sales enquiries, conduct site surveys and provide quotations to clients within set deadlines.
  • Improve Global's market position and achieve sales growth by developing new relationships and retaining/expanding existing ones across all market sectors.
  • Build key internal and external customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Represent the entire range of company services to all clients and gain commitment to buy from Global.
Key Accountabilities
  • Take full ownership of allocated sales enquiries & site surveys.
  • Achieve sales targets and profit objectives as set by the company.
  • Promote the company and its products and services at all times.
  • Accurately record and process related documents and records.
  • Produce monthly sales forecasts.
  • Monitor enquiry end dates to ensure deadlines are met.
Planning and Organising
  • Optimise available time through effective planning.
  • Schedule and monitor workload requirements for sales enquiries.
  • Design and estimate small works Life Safety and Security Systems in line with British Standards.
  • Produce weekly sales enquiry status updates for department managers/directors.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and information systems, including contacts and business obtained.
Selling Skills
  • Use all-round sales skills including open questioning, objection handling, etc.
  • Generate and develop business from new and existing clients.
  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations to meet order targets.
  • Respond to client objections or questions satisfactorily.
About You
  • Design and sales experience (field-based) ideally within the Fire and Security industry.
  • Current or former Fire Systems Engineer or Estimator looking for a more commercial role.
  • Experience working to deadlines and agreed targets.
  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and Security Systems.
